Ideate
I wanted to create something that was at least partially inline with Marshall's current website. I decided to focus my attention on the pink color that is featured in her header as well as in the hero image. Since the color is so vibrant, I also made the decision to keep the site's palate monochromatic.
As I worked, however, I decided that I needed to completely change my direction.
Iterate
After consideration, I liked the idea of a warmer and less vibrant color palate. I also wanted to juxtapose rounded, soft shapes and colors with a few sharp edges, such as in the sparkle graphic; The overall visual goal was feminine but with an edge.
Finalize
Working through additional pages, I tried to give the existing content more breathing room. Overall, I learned a lot completing this project, and I'm happy with the end results.
